Jocelyn Clarke

Jocelyn Clarke is an Irish dramaturg and television story editor. He was a theater critic for the Sunday Tribune newspaper for nine years starting in 1992. From 2001 to 2005, he was Commissioning and Literary Manager of the Abbey Theatre, Ireland's National Theatre. From 2008 to 2020, he was Theatre Advisor to the Arts Council of Ireland. Apart from his work in Ireland, he is Senior Dramaturg at American Voices New Play Institute at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and an Associate Artist with Theatre Mitu and with The Civilians theater companies in New York. Besides his work in theatre, he was executive story editor on the BBC/RTE television series Young Offenders, and was a writer/producer on the second season of the Starz television series P-Valley.
