Mitch Camponella est un jeune coureur automobile entrainé par son père. Lors d'une prestigieuse course qu'il veut remporter depuis longtemps, Mitch a un accident. Pour payer les réparations de sa voiture il accepte de devenir garde du corps d'un milliardaire, Frank Chase, qui fait du trafic d'armes. Jusqu'au jour où il assiste à un meurtre, le FBI va lui demander, au risque de sa vie, d'infiltrer la famille pour la confondre...
