트럭 운전수 죠는 우연히 술집에서 미모의 여가수 매기를 만난다. 첫 눈에 사랑에 빠져버린 죠는 그녀와 가까워지지만 그녀를 괴롭히는 매니저 때문에 그와의 사이가 멀어진다. 매기가 죠를 위해 다른 도시로 떠나가 버리자 죠는 그녀를 찾아 떠난다.
